Vision

Modern day slavery is a 32 billion dollar a year industry and currently the third largest organized crime in the world after illegal arms and drug trafficking.  In this moment there are 27 million people enslaved, half of which are children and in the face of which, every governmental power around the world is ill-equipped to eradicate.  Confounded by the sheer breadth and complexity of trade routes and interwoven criminal activity, in most countries (including Canada), human trafficking is poorly understood and rarely recognized.

Disarm the Dark is a comprehensive study of justice in light of the gospel that endeavors to equip people through education of the basic realities of modern day slavery and enable them through the Word to envision and effect change within their communities.

As a working group, we are a voice raised against the profound evil of oppression, believing firmly that abolition cannot be realized outside of the transformative love of the gospel – that to pursue justice is to follow Jesus.

Confident that as we walk out the gospel, we can begin to disarm the global crisis of human trafficking through local love in action.
